  • Ash Mental Health and Wellness accepts select insurance plans. Coverage varies by plan and medical necessity criteria.

    At this time I am accepting new patients from AETNA, Optum which includes OSCAR, AVMED, United HealthCare.

    Patients are encouraged to verify benefits directly with their insurance provider. Our practice can assist with eligibility verification when appropriate.

    Out-of-network benefits may allow partial reimbursement depending on your plan.

  • Yes. Private pay allows direct access to psychiatric evaluation and medication management without insurance limitations.

    Private pay is available for most psychiatric services, including psychiatric evaluations and medication management. Private pay may be preferred by individuals seeking increased privacy, flexible scheduling, timely access to care, ADHD evaluations, and second opinions.

    Payment is due at the time of service.

    A detailed superbill can be provided upon request for patients seeking possible out-of-network reimbursement.

  • Fees vary depending on the type of evaluation or follow-up and complexity of service provided. Please contact the practice for current rates, billing information, and questions regarding insurance coverage or out-of-network reimbursement.

    Intake: $300-$350

    Medication Management: $175- &200

    We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is processed securely through a HIPAA-compliant platform at the time of service.

    Can I use out-of-network benefits?
    If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may choose to submit a superbill to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and is determined by the terms of your individual insurance plan.

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

    Patients are responsible for copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, and non-covered services.

    Balances must be kept current to continue scheduling services.

    Appointments are reserved specifically for each patient. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Policies are designed to protect appointment availability for all patients.

    Late cancellations or missed appointments with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a fee

    Insurance does not cover missed appointment fees.

  • Under the No Surprises Act, patients who do not have insurance or choose not to use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for medical services.

    You may request a written estimate of expected charges prior to scheduling services.

    If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the charges.

  • Services are provided through a secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.

    Patients must be physically located in a state where the provider is licensed at the time of the appointment.

    Telehealth is not appropriate for emergencies. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

    Ash Mental Health and Wellness does not provide emergency services or crisis intervention.

  • Medication refills are provided during scheduled appointments to ensure safe and appropriate clinical monitoring.

    Patients are encouraged to request refills at least 5 business days before their medication runs out.

    Refill requests submitted outside of an appointment may require a scheduled follow-up visit, depending on clinical appropriateness.

    Refills are not guaranteed without appropriate clinical evaluation.

    Controlled substances require regular follow-up visits in accordance with clinical and regulatory guidelines.

    Refills are processed during normal business hours only.

    Requests submitted on evenings, weekends, or holidays will be addressed on the next business day.

    Early refills for lost, stolen, or misplaced medications may not be approved.

  • Messages received outside of business hours are reviewed on the next business day.

    This practice does not provide 24/7 on-call services.

    Patient portal messages are intended for non-urgent clinical or administrative questions only.

  • Ongoing treatment requires periodic follow-up appointments to monitor progress, medication response, and safety.

    Patients taking psychiatric medications are typically seen every 1–3 months, depending on clinical needs.

    Failure to attend recommended follow-up visits may result in delays in medication refills or treatment adjustments.

  • Certain medications require closer monitoring and may have additional requirements, including:

    • regular follow-up visits
    • identity verification
    • prescription monitoring review
    • adherence to federal and state telehealth regulations

    Controlled substances are prescribed only when clinically appropriate.

    Early refills are generally not provided.

  • Routine messages are typically answered within 1–2 business days.

    Clinical decisions cannot be made solely through messaging and may require an appointment.

    Multiple messages submitted within a short period do not guarantee faster response times.

  • Telehealth services are appropriate for many psychiatric conditions but may not be suitable for all clinical situations.

    Patients requiring higher levels of care, in-person services, or crisis intervention may be referred to appropriate local resources.

  • Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

    Missed appointments may also be subject to a fee.

    Repeated missed appointments may affect scheduling availability.

  • Prescriptions are sent electronically to the pharmacy selected by the patient.

    Processing times may vary based on pharmacy workflow and insurance authorization requirements.

    Patients receiving controlled substances from Ash Mental Health & Wellness are expected to use one psychiatric prescriber and one pharmacy whenever possible.

    Patients must notify the practice of controlled substances prescribed by another provider, emergency prescriptions, medication changes, hospitalizations, new substance use concerns, pharmacy changes, pregnancy or planned pregnancy, and new medical conditions that may affect medication safety.

    Receiving controlled substances from multiple prescribers without disclosure may result in discontinuation of controlled-substance prescribing.
